How many Red and Yellow Counters in a bag?

Today my maths teacher and maths group were investigating how many red and yellow counters were in the bag. Our teacher was hiding them in the bag so we had to find out what were the colours.  We knew there were 5 of them so we were figuring out if the colours of the counters were, 2 reds and 3 yellows, 2 yellows and 3 reds or all of them red or all of them yellow.

At the end Mr Marks showed us the colours and it was, 2 reds and 3 yellows.

Making Vanilla Cakes with Poached Apple Filling

On Saturday night at home my mum and I made vanilla cakes with poached apple filling and custard topping. We were baking them for desert. First we made the cake and it was so cool. We put vanilla essences, flour and other stuff into the bowl. As soon as we finished that we put it straight into the mixer. Then we got a little glass bowl and put the mix into the

When that was baking I was pealing some apples. I could smell the fragrance of the cakes, it smelt delicious. When I finished pealing the apples I cut them in halve and took the core out then threw them into the pot. Then the cake was finished, it looked so yummy that I wanted to eat them already! My mum took them out and  As that was cooking my mum got the ingredients for the custard.

I was always checking the apples so I was going back and forth. But then it was done because it was nice and soft. So I took them out and chopped them into 4 pieces. When I finished chopping them, I squashed them into the middle of the cake where I diged a big whole.

As soon as the custard finished my mum drizzled all around the cake. Then for a little presentation we put oranges on the top of the cake.

My favorite part was eating them!

My Creative Naritive

“Ok Sachi I am going to tell you a little story about a home sick singer who gets caught in quicksand.” I said. “YAY! but who's the singer?” Sachi excitedly shouted. “you’ll find out when I tell you the story.” I silently said.

Once there was a famous singer nammmmmmed” well I was trying to tell the story Sachi gasped. “Chris Brown” I said quickly. Sachi laughs “ Are you serious. Why can’t it be one of the One Direction boys or Justin Beiber?." “Because I’m telling the story”. “So can I finish?” I said. "Fine then! Have it your way!

“ So Chris Brown was sick and he was in bed forever! But then he wanted to go outside to get some fresh air. Then he saw all this sand in his front yard and then he coughed “ What the? why is there all this sand in front of my house.” and then some sand came in his eyes then he fell in the sand. “NO!” Sachi said sacredly.

But then Hannah and Meleane came to the rescue! Saved Chris and and went home. “ahhh!” I said in my own buzz. “DO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON CHRIS BROWN?” Sachi said seriously. “ewwww no!” I said. “ I'm telling everyone!!

Till next time bloggers! peace out!

Making lamingtons!

On Saturday night, I made yummy lamingtons at home. My mum and I were in charge of decorating while my dad made the sponge cake. The flavors were chocolate and boysenberry. We used coconut to coat the outside of the lamington and we used chocolate filling and cream in the centre. I made the boysenberry lamingtons and it was gooey because I had to dip it into boysenberry jelly.

The first time I dipped the sponge cake into the boysenberry jelly I really struggled but when I tried the second time I got used to it. As soon as we finished making it we put it in the fridge to set for dessert. When we finished having dinner we pulled them out and they looked gorgeous and tasted delicious.

My favorite part was eating the lamingtons and watching the all blacks win. I score my Saturday night a 10/10
                                   DID YOU KNOW?
Australians and New Zealanders argue over which country lamingtons come from.

Making magical rainbow cupcakes

On Saturday i made rainbow cupcakes with my mum and my cousin Leila at home. We decided to make them because we were bored.  Leila and I were both in charge of ingredients, I was the mixer and Leila was the measurer. We found the recipe on youtube and wrote it down on a piece of paper. The ingredients were vanilla extract, flour, sugar, eggs, butter and food coloring. The colours were yellow, green ,hot pink and blue.

We were so excited to make them, but guess what? The cupcake tray wasn't there! We finally found it at my mamas house and we continued baking. My favourite part was making lemon cream cheese frosting. It tasted sweet because my mum put to much icing sugar in the bowl. Overall,it was a 10/10.
